The Poynting OMNI-0291 is a high-gain, omnidirectional antenna designed for boats, yachts and coastal facilities. It provides 7 dBi gain across 450–2700 MHz; with its IP68 housing, salt-water and UV resistance and standard 1-inch marine mount, it is built for harsh marine conditions.
The Poynting OMNI-0291 is a single-port (SISO) omnidirectional LTE antenna designed for marine and coastal applications. With multiple dipoles and Poynting's patented feed network, it delivers balanced gain and a stable radiation pattern over a wide frequency range.
The antenna covers LTE bands from 450 MHz to 2700 MHz. Thanks to the long range of low frequencies, the 450 MHz band at the bottom end is used in some countries for coastal and maritime communication, private networks and CDMA450/LTE450 applications.
5G note: The OMNI-0291's frequency range ends at 2700 MHz. It covers the 700 MHz (n28) 5G band but not the 3.5 GHz (n78) band. If 3.5 GHz 5G is to be used, choose the Narwhal series covering 617–4200 MHz or the OMNI-0493 covering 617–6000 MHz.
Applications that need a stable LTE connection at sea and in coastal areas with weak signal.
Internet connectivity under way and at anchor.
Passenger and operational communication.
LTE access at facilities far from shore.
Marine and coastal monitoring devices.
Improving link reliability along the coastline.
The OMNI-0291 is a single-port antenna. A 2×2 MIMO router uses two antennas, and a router with two 2×2 modems uses four.
When more than one OMNI-0291 is used, the spacing between the antennas determines isolation, diversity gain and MIMO performance. In the example layout, the four antennas sit on two arms of the mast at two different heights, and each modem is connected to the two antennas furthest apart from each other.

Partly. It covers the 700 MHz (n28) 5G band, but since its frequency range ends at 2700 MHz it does not cover the 3.5 GHz (n78) band. For 3.5 GHz, the Narwhal series or the OMNI-0493 is recommended.
No. The antenna comes with an N-type (female) connector and no cable. A low-loss cable should be chosen to suit the cable length on the boat; on long runs, a thick low-loss cable prevents gain from being lost.
Yes. The antenna fits a standard 1-inch (14 TPI) marine mount, and the adapter bracket is included in the box.
Two. The OMNI-0291 is single-port; for a 2×2 MIMO router, two antennas are used with sufficient spacing between them.
