The Stella Doradus OS6 is an operator-specific commercial cellular repeater designed to improve indoor mobile coverage for one selected mobile operator in large buildings. It supports voice and mobile-data services across the configured cellular bands, including 5G, 4G, 3G and 2G services where those services are deployed on the amplified frequencies.
OS6 combines multi-band amplification with PortSense, remote monitoring, automatic network scanning and advanced uplink-noise control. The system is intended for professional installations where operator-specific RF performance and protection of neighbouring operator networks are important design requirements.
The OS6 supports six cellular bands. The OS4 uses the same six-band platform but is configured for any four selected bands according to the target operator and project requirements.
| Model | Bands | PortSense | Monitoring | Cell Scan |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OS6 | B28 / B20 / B8 / B3 / B1 / B7 | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| OS4 | Choose any 4 of the 6 bands | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Uplink-noise control is especially important in an operator-specific repeater because the installation must amplify the selected operator while avoiding unnecessary RF noise in spectrum used by other operators.
The repeater is tuned for the target operator and the cellular bands required by that operator at the installation site.
Uplink-noise suppression helps minimise unwanted RF energy in bands that are not assigned to the target operator.
The repeater adapts its RF behaviour according to the operating environment and donor-side network conditions.
Operator-specific systems should be commissioned from actual site measurements, antenna isolation and verified band requirements.
Amplifying multiple cellular bands is important for Carrier Aggregation. Compatible mobile devices and operator networks can use several frequency bands simultaneously, increasing the available bandwidth and supporting higher data rates and more robust indoor connectivity.
OS6 can amplify all six supported cellular bands within the operator-specific configuration, helping preserve the frequency layers used by the selected operator for voice, LTE and 5G services.
The internal modem and embedded SIM allow the OS6 to perform an automatic Cell Scan. This provides periodic visibility of nearby cellular cells and donor-side RF conditions around the building.
Network-scan results can be reviewed through the monitoring environment to help confirm that incoming signal conditions remain suitable and to identify changes in the surrounding operator network.
PortSense automatically detects antenna connections on the repeater ports. Compatible Smart Antennas and repeater port LEDs provide immediate visual confirmation when the RF hardware is connected correctly.
PortSense status is also monitored through StellaControl. Hardware faults, disconnections or system degradation can therefore be identified remotely and included in the installation's alert and maintenance workflow.
A reliable operator-specific repeater installation should be based on building plans, RF measurements, detailed design and controlled commissioning rather than device selection alone.
Review building plans, coverage targets, operator requirements and the expected RF-distribution architecture.
Measure donor-side signal conditions and operator spectrum using suitable professional RF survey tools such as SHARK.
Finalise antenna locations, cable routes, passive components, repeater configuration and the project BOM.
Commission the system, verify RF isolation and connect the repeater to StellaControl for ongoing supervision.
