Offshore Range from the Coast
The signal from base stations on shore can be used offshore up to approximately 30 km.
MARINE · ROUTER REPEATER
A 2G/3G/4G/5G wideband marine router repeater and combiner for cellular routers on boats. High-speed mobile data offshore, up to approximately 30 km from the coast.
RouterAMP Marine (RA) is a wideband marine router repeater and combiner that connects directly to the cellular router on boats and yachts. It boosts GSM, 3G, 4G and 5G signals for all operators on the 700, 800, 900, 1800, 2100 and 2600 MHz bands.
It connects the router's radio modules to external omni antennas on the mast through a single system. This boosts the signal that weakens as you move away from the coast and also reduces the number of cables run up the mast.
If coverage is needed for phones in the boat's living spaces, Stella Marine repeater solutions are used. RouterAMP targets the router's data connection.
RouterAMP Marine is designed to increase the range and stability of the router connection at sea.
The signal from base stations on shore can be used offshore up to approximately 30 km.
Provides 15 dB gain on all supported cellular bands.
Compatible with routers with four radio modules. 2× or 4× MIMO is supported on the downlink.
Supports GSM, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies and works independently of the operator.
In harbour the amplifier is bypassed, so new 5G bands such as 3.4–3.8 GHz reach the router directly.
When connected to the Stella cloud, signal level and gain are monitored live per band, and the device can be configured remotely.
The RA is placed between the router and the mast antennas. Uplink and downlink gain are controlled independently of each other.
External omni antennas mounted on the mast receive the signal from base stations on shore. The antennas connect to the RA with LMR400 cable.
The downlink signal is boosted to a maximum of –25 dBm. When the boat is close to a base station, the router's sensitive radio modules are protected.
The uplink signal is boosted to a maximum of 27 dBm. If the router transmits a stronger signal, gain is reduced automatically.
With up to 16 port connections, router configurations with up to four radio modules are supported.
In harbour bypass mode, the approximately 7 dB insertion loss is taken out of the path and data speed is not affected.
Available with rack (R) or wall-mount (W) options.
Models differ by MIMO configuration and frequency region. EU models are for the EMEA region, WW models for global use.
| Model (SKU) | Region | MIMO | Bands |
|---|---|---|---|
| RA-2X-EU | EMEA | 2× | B28 / B20 / B8 / B3 / B1 / B7 |
| RA-2X-WW | Global | 2× | B28 / B20 / B8 / B3 / B1 / B7 / B5 / B4 / B25 |
| RA-4X-EU | EMEA | 4× | B28 / B20 / B8 / B3 / B1 / B7 |
| RA-4X-WW | Global | 4× | B28 / B20 / B8 / B3 / B1 / B7 / B5 / B4 / B25 |
For 2×2 MIMO router configurations. An R added to the model code indicates rack mounting, W indicates wall mounting.
For 4×4 MIMO router configurations. Preferred on yachts and commercial boats where high speed is expected.
In the example configuration, the RA-4X works between a router with four radio modules and a 4×4 MIMO omni antenna on the mast.
The built-in software keeps the system stable and protects the mobile network.

Detects the feedback that occurs when external and internal antennas are too close to each other and reduces gain.

Adjusts gain according to signal level to prevent overload and interference.

Reduces unnecessary RF output when there is no traffic.

Lowers the output level as the boat approaches a base station, protecting the network and the router.
